Business Development and Client Services Co-ordinator

You will be assisting with managing ABORG’s portfolio of clients throughout the life cycle of our projects – from initial interest and proposal to delivery and post-delivery follow-up. You will also be involved in conducting research into potential clients, prospecting, and conducting sales lead generation campaigns.

In order to be considered for this position, you need to show at least two (2) years of experience in either web services sales or web design/online marketing project management.

In this full-time sales and client services role, you will have the opportunity to initiate and build strong, ongoing relationships with potential clients who value solutions that deliver results for their businesses. This role will allow you to develop and use your prospecting skills, listen to and understand clients’ business needs, create and present thorough solutions, and work with clients on a long-term basis to forge strong relationships and progressive results.

Your work will include:

  • Prospecting and client education:
    • Prospecting and approaching new clients
    • Attending local business networking events
    • Entering, tracking, and following up with leads using a customer relationship management (CRM) database
  • Quoting and proposals:
    • Analyzing the needs of potential and existing clients and providing solutions that best fit their business needs
    • Proposal writing and RFP/RFQ responses
    • Estimating and quoting a variety of web-based projects
  • Sales-closing and project scheduling:
    • Closing sales and scheduling projects (contract signings)
    • Presenting the scope of projects to the Web Project Manager, and briefing the web development and internet marketing teams on project requirements
  • Ongoing client relationship management:
    • Maintaining ongoing client relationships
    • Performing post-production customer satisfaction surveys
    • Offering additional services to existing clients

To qualify for this position, you should be able demonstrate:

  • Experience in web sales and/or customer service experience in web development and/or online marketing
  • Enthusiasm and passion for developing new relationships
  • Confidence in prospecting, cold-calling and approaching new clients
  • An ability to educate and persuade
  • An ability to be resilient in the face of rejection
  • Organizational and time management skills (including an ability to stay away from non-work-related social activity during work hours, especially when working independently)
  • Results-driven focus and self-motivation
  • Proficiency in web-based applications and standard office software (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent customer service, oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent English language skills; French language skills are an asset
  • Possession of a valid Ontario driver’s license (driving to local Ottawa-area sales meetings and networking events will be required)
