ABORG Adds Mailman Service:
We are
pleased to announce the addition of a new service to our repertoire -
ABORG List Server. What does this service do? A
list server allows you to quickly and easily setup world-wide e-mail
based discussion groups and forums, mailing lists, corporate
announcements and more. A mail list server is
capable of serving and coordinating and archiving email lists for large
numbers of people. How many? It has been tested with groups with over
100,000 members.

Due to
ABORG's specialization in email services we are able to offer this
service to our customers at approximately 50% of the cost of our
competitors. Note: we are
using the exact same proven software - Mailman.
Technical Information:
Mailman gives each mailing list a unique web page and allows users to
subscribe, unsubscribe, and change their account options over the web.
The list manager can administer his or her list entirely via the
web. Mailman has most of the features that people want in a mailing
list management system, including built-in archiving, mail-to-news
gateways, spam filters, bounce detection, digest delivery et.
Features
The
following features are included with all of ABORG's mailing list
packages.
- Web
based list administration for nearly all tasks, including list
configuration, moderation (post approvals), management of user
accounts.
- Web
based subscribing and unsubscribing, and user configuration management.
Users can temporarily disable their accounts, select digest modes, hide
their email addresses from other members, etc.
- A
customizable home page for each mailing list.
- Per-list
privacy features, such as closed-subscriptions, private archives,
private membership rosters, etc.
- Configurable
(per-list and per-user) delivery mode

- Integrated
bounce detection within an extensible framework. Automatic disposition
of bouncing addresses (disable, unsubscribe).
- Integrated
spam filters.

web-based Hypermail-style archiving, with hooks for external achievers

- Majordomo-style
email based commands.
- Multiple
list owners and moderators are possible.
- Full
support for HTML mail.
- Lists
can be configured as two-way discussion, moderated discussion, or
one-way announcement or newsletter.
